Iceland-based photographer with a passion for capturing the moody and atmospheric beauty of this unique land. My journey into photography was inspired by a love for travel, creativity, and an ever-evolving aesthetic. With a background in fine art and a brief stint in architecture, I've always found photography to be the perfect creative outlet.

Over the past three years, I've dedicated myself to photography, specializing in moody landscapes that convey the essence of Iceland's dramatic landscapes. One unforgettable memory was while hiking in Landmannalaugar, capturing the ethereal green ridge. My lens has also explored the vibrant streets of Reykjavik, where I've embraced the challenge of street photography and found my flow.

Fujifilm gear has become my trusted companion on these journeys. The ergonomic design, lightweight build, and the incredible colors it produces have made it an essential part of my creative process. I'm constantly drawn to the moody and atmospheric, whether it's in my color landscapes or black and white street shots, striving to create layered and emotionally evocative images.

My biggest influence is Provoke Magazine from Tokyo, Japan, and photographers like Moriyama Daido who were part of it. Their work has shaped my aesthetic, guiding me towards a dark and moody style that defines my portfolio.

Consistency in my work remains a challenge, as I often get lost in perfecting individual images rather than collections. However, the diverse landscapes of Iceland, from Landmannalaugar to Snæfellsnes, provide endless inspiration. My photography journey can be described in three words: Moody, Atmospheric, Provoking.

I've also dipped my toes into photography competitions, winning one in July 2023. With an aspiration to lead solo expeditions in Iceland and beyond, I'm excited about upcoming adventures and workshops, drawing from my experience as a teacher.

Follow me on my photographic journey as I explore the dark and moody landscapes and streets of Iceland and beyond.

The gear that I use is a Fujifilm XT5 with að feew lenses and a Fujifilm x70
